The AC NET ESFPB-8832-20DL is a high-performance, 1.25Gbps single-mode SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) transceiver module designed for reliable, long-distance fiber optic communication. Engineered to deliver efficient and stable data transmission, this module supports distances of up to 20 kilometers over single-mode fiber (SMF), making it ideal for metropolitan area networks (MANs), enterprise backbones, and fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP) applications. It operates using a bidirectional (BIDI) configuration with a Tx 1550 nm / Rx 1310 nm wavelength pair, enabling full-duplex communication over a single fiber strand, which effectively reduces fiber cabling costs and conserves fiber infrastructure.
Compliant with the SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) and supporting 1000BASE-BX standards, the ESFPB-8832-20DL is hot-pluggable, allowing for easy installation and field upgrades without system downtime. It features a standard LC duplex connector and integrates seamlessly into a wide range of networking equipment from major vendors, including Cisco, Juniper, HPE, and others, provided the firmware supports third-party optics.
The module includes Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) functionality, enabling real-time monitoring of critical parameters such as optical output power, received signal strength, temperature, supply voltage, and laser bias current. This feature enhances network diagnostics, simplifies troubleshooting, and ensures optimal performance.
Built with a DFB laser and PIN photodiode, the transceiver delivers excellent signal integrity and low power consumption, typically under 1W. It operates within the commercial temperature range of 0°C to +70°C, ensuring reliability in standard operating environments.
